SAGINAW (WJRT) (3/6/2018) - A 14-year-old boy from Saginaw has been arrested in connection with a threat made against Saginaw Learn to Earn Academy last week.

The student is accused of making an unspecified threat against the school on social media around 10:45 p.m. Thursday. The threat resulted in the school being closed for the day on Friday.

Detectives from the Saginaw Police Department teamed up with FBI agents to track down the student allegedly responsible for the threat.

Saginaw police arrested the student around 7:30 a.m. Tuesday at a residence on the city's east side. The student was taken to the Saginaw County Juvenile Detention Center on charges of making a terrorist threat and using a computer to commit a crime.

“My detective worked tirelessly on this case and was able to come to a rapid resolution," said Saginaw Police Det. Sgt. Oscar Lopez. "We want the public to know if you make any type of terrorist threats using social media we will track you down.”
