15-year-old pleads guilty to threatening 'mass murder' at Zemmer Middle School

LAPEER (WJRT) (11/17/2017) - A teen has pleaded guilty to threatening "mass murder" at a Lapeer middle school.

Dylan DeAngelis, 15, when he pleaded guilty in a Lapeer County courtroom to making a false terrorist threat and using a computer to commit a crime.

He and two others are accused of exchanging text messages in which they discussed plans to shoot up Zemmer Middle School in a Columbine-style attack.

If the judge accepts the plea agreement, several charges would be dismissed, including conspiracy to commit first degree murder.

DeAngelis is scheduled to be sentenced in January.
