FLINT TOWNSHIP (WJRT) - (11/21/16) - Car lovers have been flocking to a Flint Township house where they're preparing for an auction. A car collector died recently and some special autos will be sold Tuesday.

Dr. Celestine Joseph, A Flint gynecologist, loved cars and motorcycles. He owned six classic cars and a number of motorcycles when he passed in August.

"He kept them in pretty good shape. He kept them charged and everything. He always liked to go to Back to the Bricks every year in downtown Flint. He led a good life," said Brian Joseph, the doctor's son.

In his garage, Celestine had a 1972 Ford Mustang Mach One, a 1963 Buick Electra, a 1974 Chevy Chevelle and three BMWs. There are Harleys and a Honda motorcycle in the garage. In the house, collectibles, artwork and jewelry will be sold in an online auction.

Many things that are automotive related, like signs will go to the highest bidder. There's even a horse from a merry-go-round. A large collection of Santa Claus figurines will be sold.

His son says Celestine enjoyed collecting many things, but now the time has come to part with them. People stopped by the house, but the inspection Monday ended at 6 and they can look at all the items Tuesday, but there will be no auctioneer there.

"The entire auction process is all done online. There will be no auction here. No one swinging a gavel or taking bids. It's all done online, but they can come tomorrow, we're open for inspection tomorrow also," said auctioneer Mike Mieras.

You have to be registered with Orbitbid.com to take part in the auction, which starts at 8 a.m. Tuesday on Maplekrest in Flint Township.
