Airline passengers give Delta's plans to issue travel waivers for Michigan flights on Friday a thumbs up

FLINT, Michigan (WJRT) - (02/07/2018) - Heavy snow in the forecast has Delta Airlines issuing travel waivers for Michigan flights scheduled for Friday.

Travel to and from the airport in Flint and also MBS in Freeland might be impacted, so Delta Airlines is allowing customers to cancel their trips.

Six Michigan airports are impacted in total.

If your travel is through Flint, Detroit, Grand Rapids, Kalamazoo, Lansing, or Saginaw on Friday you are entitled to a refund for the unused portion of your ticket.

Even if your flight is not cancelled, you make make a one-time change to your ticket free-of-charge if you are scheduled to travel to or from these airports.

Flights booked to-and-from Michigan on Friday must be reissued on-or-before February 12th.

Rebooked travel must begin no later than February 12th.

Airline passengers we spoke with on Wednesday thought this was a great idea.

Chicago, Milwaukee and Cleveland are also included in this offer.
