SAGINAW (WJRT) (1/12/2018) - A 49-year-old Bridgeport Township woman was formally charged Friday with the alleged drunken driving death of a Saginaw tow truck driver.
DeeAnn Parsons was arraigned on one count of operating while intoxicated causing death after she allegedly hit and killed Thomas Tripp along Dixie Highway near Zelle Drive on Wednesday evening.
Tripp, who was working for Mike's Wrecker Service, had responded to help the driver of a car with a blown tire. He was unable to fix the tire along the roadway and was loading it onto his flatbed when the collision occurred.
Police arrested Parsons at the scene. She remained in custody on Friday at the Saginaw County Jail on a $25,000 cash bond.
