FLUSHING (WJRT) - (12/07/17) - It was a cold night to be outside Thursday evening, but that didn't stop hundreds of families from bundling up and getting into the holiday spirit!
The city of Flushing hosted the first night of its annual Candlewalk with the glow of candles lining Main Street and beyond.
The festive tradition began 30 years ago and organizers say it has grown into one of the county's largest events.
A parade, horse drawn carriagesl, choirs and more gave people plenty to see and do.
Santa Claus even stopped by to help light the tree and chat with the kids.
The Candlewalk continues on Friday.
