FLINT (WJRT) (10/4/2017) - Criminal charges being considered in the race for Flint City Council.

The Flint Police Department has submitted a case for review to prosecutors after allegations that 6th Ward candidate Chia Morgan doesn't actually live in that district.

Deltonya Burns, the third-place finisher in the August primary, has sued to kick Morgan off the ballot. Neighbors around the home where Morgan claims to live in the 6th Ward claim she does not live there.

Genesee County Prosecutor David Leyton recused himself after learning the home on Morgan's election forms is owned by an assistant prosecutor in his office. The Michigan Attorney General's Office now has the investigation.
