FENTON TOWNSHIP (WJRT) - (11/28/2017) - A Fenton Township man will spend time in a drug and alcohol treatment center for failing to report a woman died in a mobile home.

John Osborne, 46, was ordered to spend three months at Odyssey House in Flint. Authorities say he was doing drugs with 47-year-old Julie Persons in October, when she died of a suspected overdose.

After her death, Osborne allegedly ran away and left her there. Her body wasn't discovered in the mobile home until Oct. 1, at least 10 days after she died.

Police arrested Osborne more than a week later at another mobile home in the same neighborhood. He was charged with a misdemeanor of failing to report a dead body and convicted.

The judge ordered Osborne to complete the three-month treatment program in lieu of sending him to jail.
