FLINT (WJRT) (11/22/2017) - For some people, Thanksgiving people is all about the Turkey, but for others, it's all about the vegetables.
Today they're fresh at the Flint Farmers Market, which is hoping you'll eat local this Thanksgiving.
Shopper Adra Brooks came to the market looking for sweet potatoes, green beans, yams, and mac and cheese. Vendor Erin Caudell said she came to the right place.
"Besides helping to support local farmers, you also get better tasting vegetables, that have just been harvest and are super yummy," she said. "We're happy to grow those things for your tables and help feed your families."
And its not just groceries that shoppers are getting in preparation for their big holiday. Felix Beltarn can't resist the pumpkin and apple pies.
"This is the second trip today," he said. "We came yesterday but it was late and already gone."
