FLINT (WJRT) - (01/05/17) - Flint is rising.
That's the message from the group dedicated to finding strength in numbers and making sure together, Flint residents are loud enough to make sure no one forgets the water crisis.
Ward 8 met Thursday evening to talk about what needs to be done to endure there is clean safe, water for Flint, repayment for past water bills and a plan to replace the pipes with Flint hands doing the work.
Flint Rising is canvassing the neighborhoods, looking for those who still need help getting water, filters and information and recruiting those who want to be part of their effort.
Meanwhile, water deliveries continue to those in need.
A handful of veterans and volunteers went door-to-door Thursday afternoon at the Slidell Senior Apartments dropping of cases of water to the residents.
The group even placed water in the seniors homes because the cases are just too heavy.
The veterans plan on doing this every Thursday at different senior complexes across the city.
