Flint teenager gets jail time for role in dog's torture and death

FLINT (WJRT) -- (5/10/2017) - A Flint teenager who is accused of standing by while her sister's boyfriend tortured a dog, stomping on his neck and killing him, will spend up to a year behind bars.
Jessica Brown's attorney says she was minimally involved and forced to take part in the killing.
Nathan McCue is accused of binding the 7 year old shih tzu's legs and face and feet with electrical tape, tying him to a tree and leaving him to die.
Dakota's lifeless body would be found 10 days later by a 13 year old boy in Vienna Township.
He will be in court on Friday. Both were charged with killing or torturing an animal.
