Frank Benesh, ABC12's first news director, dies at 92

FLINT (WJRT) (12/12/2017) - When ABC12 went on the air in 1958, the first face to appear on the screen was that of Frank Benesh.

He went on to lead an illustrious career at the station as an anchor and the first news director. Benesh won an Emmy award for a documentary about the Lapeer State Home.

Benesh died over the weekend at 92 after suffering from Alzheimer's Disease. His funeral took place Tuesday morning in Farmington Hills.
