Free program aimed at teaching children about safety

CLIO (WJRT) - (06/19/2017) - A free workshop is happening Monday in Clio, aimed at teaching children proper safety tools.

Rescue 911 looks to give kids the skills and confidence to protect themselves and react safely in emergency situations.

The first of two events is happening June 19 at Clio City Park in Clio.

Registration begins at 8:30 a.m. The event runs from 9:00 a.m. until 1 p.m.

The second event is at Brush Park in Downtown Fenton.
