MIDLAND COUNTY (WJRT) - (08/22/2017) - As people continue to rebuild after June's flash floods, FEMA is looking to help those affected.
Starting Tuesday, Aug. 22nd, FEMA will be setting up shop at Gill-Roy's Hardware in Midland.
Mitigation specialists will provide free information, tips and literature to make homes safer and stronger. Topics include flood insurance, elevating utilities and rebuilding flooded homes.
This will be geared toward do-it-yourself work and general contractors.
Free reference booklets with information on protecting a home from flood damage will be available. More information about strengthening property can be found under "Related Links."
Gill-Roy’s Hardware is located at 3128 S. Jefferson Ave. in Midland. Specialists will be on-hand between 8 a.m. and 4:30 p.m., Tuesday through Saturday, Aug. 26th.
