Keeping your pet safe during 4th of July celebrations

FLINT (WJRT) (06/30/18) -- The 4th of July is just days away, and that means many will be celebrating with fireworks.

But for those with pets, the Humane Society of Genesee County has some tips to keep your pets safe and comfortable:

1. Make sure your dog has a collar with an ID tag on it.
2. Chipping your pet is also a good option.
3. Keep your pets in a safe, cool location with food and water well away from any firework celebrations.
