Driver trapped in six-vehicle crash that closed Saginaw Township roadway

SAGINAW TOWNSHIP (WJRT) - (12-19-17) - Police say the jaws of life were used to rescue a driver after a six-vehicle crash in Saginaw Township.

Officers say there was black ice on the roads Tuesday morning when the collision happened on Tittabawassee Road near Center. Police say an SUV driver lost control and sideswiped a pick-up truck before crashing head-on into a car.

Investigators say the woman driving the car was pinned in. She was taken to the hospital but officers believe her injuries are not life-threatening.

According to police, there were no other major injuries.Three other cars were damaged in the collision.
