Kids get fresh cut and supplies for school

(8/26/17) - Some Mid-Michigan students will be heading back to class with a fresh haircut and a new backpack.

Park Place Hair Studio and radio station Z92.7 teamed up for their annual Haircut and Back to School Rally in Flint township today.

Students received a free haircut and style. Clients and community sponsors helped gather up school supplies.
There were bounce houses, games, and food for the kids and raffles for the parents. The organizers say it's a way to help the financial burden, especially this time of year.

"It's a great feeling for kids to go back to school feeling they're best, l
looking they're best. You know, it's a better outcome that way once they start up. It's a blessing to be a blessing to people and it's one of those things I always wanted to do once I got a chance," said Park Place Hair Studio owner, Dwayne Harrington.

The is the 6th year for the event.
