FLINT (WJRT) (08/23/16) - Following 15 weeks of hard work, it's the final day for the Crim Fit Training program.
Dozens of program participants were up bright and early in downtown Flint Tuesday morning celebrating and squeezing in one more group run.
The majority of people will be out and about with their training groups Tuesday night.
The goal, as always, is to get everyone over the finish line in Saturday's fortieth annual Crim Festival of Races.
This year's training program saw more than 1,700 people participate - an all-time high.
The Crim staff believes the past three-and-a-half months of pounding the pavement will all pay off.
"Oh, absolutely. With some of the warmer days we've had, they're accustomed to the course they'll be on Crim morning, everyone's ready to go,” Joe Dinanbro, Crim Training program director.
