DAVISON (WJRT) What was once old, is back and new again, but it's a little bit different this time around.
"It has so many memories for so many people," said owner Kristin McGlashen. "We just have good products, good service and good food."
What was once known as the Dairy Delight Ice cream stand at 11184 Davison Road in Davison Township is now known as Mayberry, but they're not just serving up ice cream.
"We're trying to get people to think coffee and doughnuts for us now," McGlashen said. "We're trying to get the brand to think that for the drive through."
Mayberry is almost like a one stop shop, bringing together three local businesses all into one place.
"We wanted to have good products from local businesses like Crust in Fenton, Heavenly cake balls and then Fireside Coffee in Swartz Creek," McGlashen said. "They're all local companies. They're all well-known. They have great products and we have them all here in Davison."
The owners say many are stopping by the new Mayberry to share their old memories of stopping at the Dairy Delight for ice cream. They're hoping customers can create some new memories too.
"We just wanted a name that brought back the taste of old fashioned goodness," McGlashen said.
The eatery is open from 6:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. Mondays through Fridays and from 7 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturdays. It is closed on Sundays.
