MOUNT PLEASANT (WJRT) (4/10/2018) - An Isabella County man is accused of viewing child pornography on computers inside a Mount Pleasant Walmart store.

The Isabella County Sheriff's Office responded to the store on April 1 after people noticed 38-year-old Timothy Powers looking at inappropriate images on computers on the sales floor.

The computers have internet access and are used as a demonstration models for customers to try.

The sheriff's office says Powers had spent some time on the computer before anyone reported the situation. A quick check of the hard drives and web browsing history led officers to seize the computers for a forensic search.

Police found multiple pornographic images on the hard drives that appeared to depict underage children.

Powers was arrested on two counts of possessing child sexually abusive material. He remained in custody Tuesday at the Isabella County Jail on $20,000 bond.
