UPDATE: Man dies after being shot multiple times inside Flint's MTA station downtown

FLINT (WJRT) - (12/01/17) - Police have now confirmed the death of a man shot inside the MTA transfer station in downtown Flint.

It happened at 8:30 p.m. Friday at the corner of Harrison and Second streets.

The victim was identified as 31-year-old Clevis Lee Bassett. He was initially rushed to Hurley Medical Center with several gunshot wounds, but died from his injuries just 40 minutes later.

The MTA hub remained closed for the remainder of Friday evening's scheduled routes. Pick-ups and drop-offs took place at a nearby location.

Witnesses say it stemmed from an argument and the shooter took off.

Flint police say the suspect is a man in his 20's.
