FLINT (WJRT) - (12/28/16) - The future of water deliveries in Flint is now in the hands of a mediator, appointed Wednesday by a federal judge.
The mediator will act as the point-person on all talks between the state, city, ACLU, Natural Resources Defense Council and Concerned Pastors for Social Action.
The last three named filed a lawsuit against the city and state in January requiring door to door delivery of bottled water.
The city and state are fighting it sighting cost.
A spokesperson for Governor Rick Snyder says he "believes mediation is the best way forward in this case and is hopeful for a quick resolution that benefits the residents of Flint."
