Man driving Mobile Medical Response ambulance charged in Oct. 16 fatal crash

SAGINAW COUNTY (WJRT) (2/21/2018) - A Midland County man has been charged in the fatal accident involving an ambulance.

Samuel Mithoefer, 25, faces once count of moving violation causing death.

Police say Mithoefer was driving the Mobile Medical Response ambulance on the morning of Oct. 16 and collided with another car in southern Saginaw County.

The driver of that other car, 21-year-old Dustin Sharp, was killed. The collision vaulted the ambulance off a bridge at the intersection of Gary and Lincoln roads into Misteguay Creek below.

The charge carries a penalty of one year and jail and up to a $2,000 fine.
