MID-MICHIGAN (WJRT) - (08/12/17) - For the first time ever the Clio Eagle Riders hosted a special event aimed at helping children who have been abused.

The motorcycle poker run was called, "No Excuse for Child Abuse".

Bikers carried that message with them as they drove through Mid-Michigan.

The poker run started and ended at the Clio Eagles Club.

Money raised from the event will go to the Weiss Child Advocacy Center which aims to prevent child abuse and help survivors become children again.

"It means with the stats that go on with the physically abused children the numbers are outrageous, we have to support our children," said Debby Hurd, the organizer of the event.
