FENTON (WJRT) (6/29/2018) - A new Italian restaurant is planning to open this fall on the ground floor of a new building.

Andiamo, which has eight other locations in Metro Detroit, is planning to occupy the entire main floor of the new Horizon Building at the corner of Silver Lake Road and Leroy Street.

The restaurant will offer a mix of classic Italian dishes and some more modern cuisine. Diners can sit in indoor and outdoor dining rooms, including a four-season room with a two-sided fireplace and a long bar.

Space also is available for private parties and events.

Dominic Vicari will be the operating partner and will oversee all daily operations of Andiamo Fenton.

“We have a summer home in Fenton, making the town a second home for my family for the past 15 years," he said. "I feel connected to this community, and we are happy to bring our first new restaurant in 10 years to Fenton.”

Construction on the three-story, 23,500 square-foot Horizon Building began in July 2017 and is expected to be complete summer 2018. The Horizon Group Advisors of Raymond James and Serra Automotive are owners and partners in the building and will also occupy the space.

Serra Automotive will be located on the third floor, The Horizon Group is on the second floor, and Andiamo will be on the first floor.

“Our goal was to find quality tenants for the Horizon Building that would complement existing retail businesses and bring excitement to area residents,” said The Horizon Group and Raymond James Senior Vice President Terry Andrysiak.

Andiamo in downtown Fenton is scheduled to open sometime this fall.

“With the Andiamo name recognition and reputation for providing a quality dining experience, they will immediately become another destination restaurant in our downtown," said Fenton Mayor Sue Osborn.
