OWOSSO (WJRT) - (04/20/17) - A mid-Michigan hospital is celebrating the completion of a major effort to revamp its emergency department.
Owosso Memorial Healthcare held an official ribbon cutting, unveiling the new ER Thursday afternoon.
The $1.2 million project includes new equipment and technology.
There will be changes visible to the patients too, like an increased capacity for people needing treatment, a lower wait time and private rooms.
A licensed paramedic will now greet ER visitors instead of a receptionist.
The updates are all aimed at making the hospital more efficient and improve the patient experience.
