Toilet paper holder catches fire at Heritage High School, forcing evacuation

SAGINAW TOWNSHIP (WJRT) (1/31/2018) - A suspicious fire in the restroom of a Mid-Michigan high school forced students and staff to evacuate the building.

The fire was reported around 10:30 a.m. at Heritage High School in Saginaw Township. Fire investigators say the toilet paper holder in a girls restroom somehow caught on fire.

Students were evacuated from the building and the fire crews were able to put out the small fire. Classes resumed a short time later.

Investigators are trying to determine how the fire started.
