FLINT (WJRT) - (03/08/18) - Thursday happens to be International Women's Day and all throughout March people are celebrating women's history.
The University of Michigan-Flint has events planned through April.
"Women's history month is being celebrated with a variety of events from a movie screening of "Audrie and Daisy" to a brown bag series around the national theme of 'nevertheless, she persisted,'" said Julie Snyder.
Snyder is associate vice chancellor and dean of students.
"Each of these events will hopefully reach all of our students and be able to help our students who may identify as women find their voice and give them solidarity while also those who are supportive of women - be able to help them grow in that role as an ally," Snyder said. "So it's an honor to be able to celebrate women's history month for our students and with our students."
