DAVISON TOWNSHIP (WJRT) (5/31/2018) - Traffic will be slowed along M-15 south of Davison beginning next week, as the Michigan Department of Transportation starts a widening and repaving project.
The $1.8 million project involves widening the roadway around Bristol Road in add center turn lanes. Repaving will extend more than a half mile from around Bristol Road to near Kitchen Road.
MDOT is planning to complete a significant amount of working during overnight hours to reduce the effect on traffic during the day.
Only one lane controlled by flaggers will be open from 9 p.m. to 6 a.m. during the beginning of the project while the road base is widened to accommodate the new turn lanes.
After that, one lane of traffic in each direction will be open in each direction while crews work during the day along the east side of M-15. Overnight lane closures with flaggers will come back when the final paving is completed.
The project should be completed in August depending on weather.
