MUNDY TOWNSHIP (WJRT) - (03-01-18) - It's a chance to help save a child battling cancer or a life-threatening disease. All for about 66 cents a day.
Flint radio station Z92.7 kicked off it's St. Jude Radiothon Thursday morning. It's a crucial fundraiser for St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
A child treated for cancer or diseases like sickle cell anemia can be at St. Jude's for months or even years. But families never receive a bill.
The children's research hospital is leading the way the world understands, treats, and defeats childhood cancer and other life-threatening diseases. It has the best survival rates throughout the world for the most aggressive childhood cancers.
The Radiothon is asking Michiganders to become a "Partner in Hope," for just $20 a month.
To donate, call 1-800-411-9898. The Radiothon will continue Friday, from 6:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. Donors who use a credit card for the monthly pledge receive a free Radiothon t-shirt.
