FLINT (WJRT) - (04/07/16) - Governor Rick Snyder is facing some sharp criticism from one of the Congressmen who questioned him about the Flint Water Emergency.
In a letter sent to Governor Snyder, Maryland Representative Elijah Cummings accused him of not being truthful while testifying under oath last month.
The Governor told the House Oversight Committee that he was working with local leaders to assist Flint residents.
However - Cummings says he has documentation that shows that wasn't true and that the Governor withheld information about his 75 point plan from Flint Mayor Karen Weaver.
Cummings is now requesting additional emails, and communications about that plan.
He also said in the letter that he wants to visit Flint, as early as next week, to meet with the Governor, Mayor Weaver, Congressman Dan Kildee, and Flint City Council President Kerry Nelson.
The Snyder administration calls the accusations politically motivated.
