FLINT (WJRT) - (04/20/16) - There's been an arrest in the murders of two Mid-Michigan women.
Flint Police are saying a witness had not seen or heard from the two women who were killed, in a couple days.
We've also learned their names: Sacorya Renee Reed and Sasha Avonna Bell.
Detectives say the women, who are between 18 and 20 years old, were shot to death.
Police were called to Ridgecrest Village Apartments near Dort Highway and Carpenter Road around 9:30 p.m. Tuesday. When police arrived, they found both women dead and an infant in the same apartment. That infant was not hurt and as of Tuesday night was in the care of Child Protective Services.
People living near the deadly shootings say they're sick of the violence there and in the whole city.
"It’s getting bad. It’s like kids involved too and I don't know, I don't even know what to say, I’m shocked too,” said Flint resident Shonte Dunson.
"The upsetting thing is it's not just here, it's everywhere. So we need to go ahead and crack down on everything,” said Flint resident Chris Johnson.
Flint Police say the investigation is ongoing and if you have any information to please contact them.
