FLINT (WJRT) - (03/22/16) - An advocacy group from D.C. arrived in Flint on Tuesday with 200 portable showers.
The "Pump-n-Spray" systems were given out at Second Chance Church on North Street.
"Servants Without Borders" demonstrated how they work before giving them out.
The system allows you to connect a four or five gallon water jug to a shower head and hose. You step on a pump and the water comes out like a real shower.
“We're trying to bring just a temporary solution and a sense of dignity back to showering until the permanent solution comes,” said Dawn Cole, vice chair of Servants Without Borders.
“Very thoughtful, nice, and very needed,” said Stacy Robinson.
