Leslie
Toldo is one ABC12's four meteorologists. She anchors the weather
during First at Four and is currently ABC12's weekday Health
Source reporter.
Leslie has been with ABC12 News since July 2004.
Born in Baton Rouge, LA,
Leslie doesn't mind being away from home. After studying at Louisiana
State University, she ended up with a communications degree from the
University of Wyoming, in 1990.
She started out in radio,
then her TV career began in Casper, WY, took a turn into Jackson, MS,
and eventually landed in Detroit, at UPN 50. She has always had the
best of both worlds, reporting news- especially health
news- and doing the weather.
In 1997, Leslie completed a
three-year program with Mississippi State University and received her
certification in Broadcast Meteorology. In 2002, she completed the
improv comedy program at The Second City School
in Detroit. After seven years in the Detroit area Leslie found her way
"home" to ABC 12.
When she's not working,
Leslie enjoys traveling, running, interior decorating, the outdoors,
music, movies and animals. Leslie and her husband, Rick, share a home
in Genesee County, with their two Labrador Retrievers,
Otis and Bear and their Golden Retriever, Daisy.
Leslie also serves on the Board of Directors at the Humane Society of Genesee County.
