ABC 12 – WJRT – Flint, MIKaren Gatlin

Karen Gatlin co-anchors ABC12 News at Noon with Larry Elliott and First at Four with Terry Camp. She is a senior member of the ABC12 news team, having joined the staff in 1980.

Born in Illinois, Karen grew up in Weatherly, Penn. She graduated from Penn State University with a degree in broadcast journalism.

Karen started her broadcasting career at WEST Radio in Easton, Penn. A subsequent job at WAAM Radio in Ann Arbor brought her to Michigan.

From there, she made the switch to TV in the Flint/Saginaw area.

She is married to Flushing native Mike Gatlin. They have two sons, Michael and Andrew.

Karen's hobbies include road trips with her husband in their Plymouth Prowler and overseas travel with her mom.
