Ilse Lujan-Hayes has been a member of the ABC 12 news team since the summer of 2010. She has held several positions including newsroom assistant, weekend assignment desk editor, producer and reporter.
Born in Los Angeles, CA and raised in San Diego, Ilse holds a bachelor's degree in Communication from Cal-State-University Dominguez Hills.
Ilse also worked as a print reporter for Los Cerritos News before making the jump to television.
She was a writer for the Emmy nominated show Good Morning San Diego at KUSI News. She loves the adventure of being a reporter, meeting new people and learning something new every day. In her spare time, she enjoys exercising, spending time with friends and family, being outdoors and volunteering for Big Brothers Big Sisters. She lives in Genesee County, is fluent in Spanish, a member of the National Association of Hispanic Journalists and is active at "La Familia" Multi-Cultural Community Church in Flint.
