(12/29/11) - A man was shot outside of Northern High School in Flint Wednesday night while the school was hosting a two-day holiday basketball tournament.
Police said the victim, 19-year-old Kewan Bradley, was taken to a local hospital and is in good condition. He was shot in the back.
The shooting happened around 8:30 in the school parking lot.
Northern is hosting the Coca-Cola Holiday Classic. Seven area schools compete in the basketball tournament. Boys and girls team from the three Flint area schools participate, plus Hamady, Flushing, Carmain Ainsworth and Beecher.
Wednesday night, a fight broke out during the tournament between fans in the stands, which later turned into an altercation between police and one fan who was taken away in handcuffs and hauled off to jail.
Police have identified a person of interest in the shooting, but no arrests have been made.
School officials say the shooting did not interrupt the game.
