TUSCOLA COUNTY (WJRT) -
(01/30/12) - A Friday accident in Tuscola County has claimed the life of a passenger.
Michigan State Police say 69-year-old Joseph Pawlak of Owendale died Sunday of his injuries.
He was riding in a southbound vehicle with a Gagetown man when they were hit by a northbound driver, who lost control and crossed the centerline into oncoming traffic.
It happened shortly before noon Friday, on Cemetery Road, north of Merchant in Elkland Township.
The driver at fault remains hospitalized in stable condition. The other driver was treated and released.
