FLINT (WJRT) -

(05/01/12) - The Genesee County Sheriff's Office has seized at least 30 dogs from two houses on Flint's northside they believe are connected with dog fighting.

Genesee County Sheriff, Robert Pickell, says they discovered this ring during a chase Monday night. A deputy spotted an unusual number of dogs in a backyard on the 3000 block of Seneca.

Animal control went out Tuesday morning. Pickell says they found about 17 dogs in a house he believes was used to breed the dogs and about 13 more in a home used to train them to fight.

Animal Control also found large chains, syringes, treadmills, and shocks they believe were used on the dogs.

At least one person has been arrested so far, but charges have not yet been filed.
