(07/04/12) - The sky in Mid-Michigan lit up Wednesday with Fireworks on this Fourth of July.
Many communities hosted fireworks displays Wednesday, or will in the coming days, including the city of Saginaw.
The fireworks were launched from Ojibway Island and the Holland Street bridge starting at 10:15 Wednesday.
Some people arrived at the island as early as 7 a.m. to claim a spot for the show.
Despite the brutal heat, people sat and watched the show right along the river, and the Court Street bridge closed so people could watch from there as well.
