Fireworks light up sky in Flint

FLINT (WJRT) -

(07/04/12) - The city of Flint celebrated July 4 with a bang.

Atwood Stadium opened its gates for spectators to watch fireworks over the Flint River.

The gates at Atwood opened at 8 p.m. The fireworks show started around 10 p.m.

Hundreds of people watched the show from different locations throughout Flint, while watching the crowd were additional police officers.

The Flint Police Department says 20 additional officers were called in to patrol.
