MID-MICHIGAN (WJRT) -

(07/06/12) - Many areas around Mid-Michigan will hit 100 degrees by the time Friday is over.

If you've been looking at your car, bank signs or a home thermometer, you know the temperature is rising fast.

Some folks had to work out in the heat Friday.

Clean-up crews were still out everywhere Friday, clearing out trees and debris that blew all over the roads Thursday morning.

The unlucky ones wound up with those trees on their houses or cars.

People who still don't have power Friday realize that things could have been worse.

"We've had to go by 20 bags of ice. Need to go get some more," said Flint Township resident James Perez. "Thank God, those trees could have blown over and crushed the cars and everything."
