(07/10/12) - The City of Flint has received a grant that will pay for 11 police officers to continue their community policing efforts for the next six months.
The grant is from the Mott Foundation and is worth $743,000.
Chief Alvern Lock says the money will also help the city maintain it's five police mini-stations and support its overall public safety plan.
