Consumers Energy offers rebate for recycling old refrigerator - ABC 12 – WJRT – Flint, MI

(07/11/12) - How would you like $50 and save money on your electric bill at the same time?

Consumer's Energy is offering to pick up your old refrigerator and hand you a check for $50.

The goal is to reduce the wasted energy that some older models use.

Consumer's has partnered with JACO Environment to help save energy and recycle parts.

Once the refrigerator is picked up, it is taken apart and all of the materials from it are used to make other products.
