(07/19/12) - An east side Flint community is coming together to plant a seed of hope among its residents.
The Washington Neighborhood Association will hold their monthly meeting at the Calvary Lutheran Church Thursday at 6 p.m.
All are invited to come enjoy hot dogs and discuss solutions to crime in the area.
The association is sponsoring a row in the garden at the church and they will be serving vegetables from the garden at the meeting.
The garden is just one of many ways the association tries to keep the community beautiful.
The speaker for Thursday's meeting is police officer Tonya Meeks, who will be talking about new ideas to keep the neighborhood safe.
