Three dead, one injured in weekend Saginaw shootings

SAGINAW (WJRT) -

(07/23/12) - Three people were killed in an 18 hour span, and the shootings happened less than two miles apart in Saginaw.

The first shooting was around 4 a.m. Saturday morning in the 600 block of North Second Avenue.

Police say two men where shot several times while sitting in a car. They died at the scene.

The victims are 19-year-old Frederick Rico-Jones and 20-year-old Marcus Buckley Junior.

Both men were from Saginaw.

Then around 10:30 that same night, there was another deadly shooting, this one in the 1900 block of Cherry.

Police say they found 20-year-old Russel Turner lying on the porch.

He later died at the hospital. We're told another person was also shot, but is expected to be OK.
