5 rescued after capsized boat in Lake Huron

Posted: Updated:

(07/24/12) - An overloaded boat, strong winds and alcohol may have caused a boat to overturn in Lake Huron.

The Huron County sheriff says five people were aboard the 12-foot aluminum boat when it capsized.

Two 9 year olds and three adults ended up clinging to the side of the boat.

A woman was able to call for help.

Thankfully, someone living along the Grindstone Harbor saw and rescued them.

All five are expected to be OK.

The 29-year-old man driving the boat was arrested for 'Boating While Intoxicated'.
