LAPEER (WJRT) -
(07/26/12) - A fire at a DTE sub-station on Genesee Street in Lapeer has knocked out power for 5,000 customers.
A DTE spokesman says the fire broke out about 11 a.m.
The cause isn't known.
Repair crews should have the power restored to the affected customers Thursday afternoon.
