Kettering University gets grant to help keep backseat passengers safe

FLINT (WJRT) -

(07/31/12) - Flint college students are trying to keep people safe while driving on the road, and they're getting some help to make that happen.

Kettering University was just awarded a $62,000 research grant.

The money will help them with crash lab research, more specifically, protecting people sitting in the back seat during a crash.

The grant is from TRW Automotive, an automotive supplier they've been working with for years.

The two institutions have been research partners since the 1990's, and this helps continue that relationship.
