(08/01/12) - To help tackle crime in the city, the Flint Police have been working with the Michigan State Police for some time now.
Wednesday, we learned that the new initiative is paying off.
MSP reports that in less than one month's time, their newly formed investigative team has solved at least four homicides and three shootings.
On top of that, arrests have been made tied to suspects wanted in home invasions, kidnappings and armed robbery.
That success is being attributed to improved response time, witness interviews and confessions.
